# 6 the wedding of bride Tina & groom Jared
The wedding of New York based bride Tina and groom Jared is one of love, friendship, cultural appreciation and honest values.
Their culturally infused ceremony showered with love from family and friends celebrated Jewish, Fillipino and Greek traditions all within the stunning and neutral Greek landscape, lifted with vibrant purples and pinks from naturally grown bougainvillea. These homesome touches played with Tina's fun and stylish custom Houghton dress, stylishly demonstrate how beautifully a modern stylish woman can represent her values, spirit and individuality on her wedding day. Tina wanted her day to to reflect the laid back lifestyle of Greece, nothing too traditional and natural which can be felt through each and every photograph beautifully captured by Thanas Kaiafas including one of Tina's favourite moments where her and Jared re-visited their engagement spot on the Greek mountains and castle ruins.
Their love filled day naturally moved into a night of traditional and delicious Greek food, great music, vibrant dancing, surprise fireworks and late night Souvlaki snacks! Their spirit and stylish design touches create a truly beautiful Mediterranean X Bohemian cocktail, splashed with New York vibrancy and shaken with love, gratitude and the Greek sun!

TELL US A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT YOUR CONNECTION TO GREECE?
Both my parents are Greek so I grew up spending my Summers there in a small beach town called Porto Germeno, the same town my dad spent his summers growing up. The town holds my most fondest memories, it is quaint with only a couple of restaurants, coffee shops and bed and breakfasts'. Nothing fancy but the most amazing beaches which draw people from Athens which is just an hour and a half away. The town has always meant so much to my family and Jared fell in love with it just as much as me, one Summer he proposed to me on a mountain overlooking the town and we knew we wanted our friends and family to experience this hidden gem with us. The town is so small though, not nearly big enough to accommodate a large wedding, we searched and searched for a venue but there wasn't one. Finally we found an old restaurant on the water, it had been closed for years but we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it! The restaurant was not operational so we got the power back up, fixed the landscape, added a bathroom etc... it was a true labour of love and we managed to get the space wedding ready and it was truly exquisite.
SO, HOW DID GREECE INFLUENCE YOUR BRIDAL STYLE?
We were really inspired by the surrounding natural beauty of Greece, the mountains, the ocean and the Olive trees so we kept everything very neutral with the only colour from the boutainvillea flowers which grow naturally all over Greece, they are also my favourite flower! We also wanted our wedding to reflect the laid back lifestyle of Greece, we didnt want anything too traditional, we wanted it to feel natural and the most important thing for us was for our guests to get to experience Greece in a way that most tourists don't get to. Small town living, traditional food, music shared with family and friends, the laid back lifestyle of a small beach town and the great hospitality of the Greeks.
DID YOU INCLUDE ANY ONE OF A KIND TOUCHES?
There was a blank wall at the entrance of the venue, so Jared and I decided to paint the names of our guests on the wall as our seating chart. Jared hand painted 200+ names which took him 2 whole days!
"Jared and I met in college, we have been together for 8 years, engaged for 1.5 years and married for 8 months!"

TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR HOUGHTON DRESS?
I had the hardest time finding a wedding dress! I had something in my mind that just didn't exist so I worked with Houghton who created my dream dress!
HOW ABOUT OTHER STYLE MOMENTS?
My girls wore dresses from Show Me Your Mumu, the same colour but different styles. The boys wore Zara suits with JCrew ties,Jared also hand made each of his groomsmen a leather belt with their nicknames stamped into them. Our rings, Jared and I fell in love with a vintage engagement ring from a local jeweller called Mociun so we got our wedding bands from them as well and my shoes were from Schutz.
YOUR WOW MOMENT?
The whole day was incredible but the most memorable part for me was walking down the isle to Jared. The whole day was a blur of happiness but I'll never forget that moment!
