MARRIAGE TO YOU?
Marriage to me is a partnership, a lifelong commitment you make to the love of your life and your best friend, a commitment to respect and love each other. Marriage means trusting, giving, compromise, sharing and growing together it means unconditional love.
YOUR WEDDING DAY STYLE?
Effortlessly, elegant and chic. I wanted an elegant understated style for our wedding, I wanted to keep it simple and fresh, and just use the incredible back drop of New York City to really bring it to life.
"I wore the Arlo gown by Grace Loves Lace. The Arlo gown was the only gown I tried on that I had that real “the one” moment with, it’s so incredibly beautiful to wear! The silk is just to die for and I love how elegant it is. It just glides on and it suited my body type perfectly. With the beautifully understated Arlo I went for a more detailed veil, I wore a long lace trim custom veil made by Bridal By Aubrey Rose I think it complemented the wedding dress perfectly. For the shoes I wore a matte silver stiletto by Tony Bianco, my wedding jewelry was by Samantha Wills. For the reception I change it up a bit by removing the veil and wearing the stunning Grace Loves Lace, Stella leather choker which made it a little bit more fun and gave it a little stylish edge."

THE CEREMONY, ANY MUSIC MOMENTS?
Brent and I had an acoustic singer for our ceremony which really set the mood and made it that much more romantic, I walked down the aisle to A Thousand Years by Christian Perry and then as we were announced husband and wife Forever by Ben Harper was played.
YOUR WOW MOMENT?
For me the most incredible moment of the day was when we exchanged vows. We wrote our own vows which made it so special and in that moment it felt like we were the only two people in the world… it was just Brent and I standing there holding hands, promising to spend the rest of our lives together. I didn’t take my eye off his…it was pretty amazing.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WEDDING TRADITIONS? DID YOU EMBRACE OR IGNORE?
We really didn’t do anything the traditional way. We eloped with only a handful of guests and really made the whole day about us, it was nice not have to stress about everyone else and being able to really enjoy the moment. I walked down the aisle on my own which I was proud to do, not having a father figure in my life I wanted it to be a symbol of my independence. I guess one thing I wanted to keep to the tradition was Brent not seeing me until I walked down the aisle. That was a special moment.
DID YOU KEEP A WEDDING DAY 'SOUVENIR or 'MEMENTO'?
As we eloped we didn’t have any favors but having the memories of travelling America with my sisters and the handful of guests that could be there will be something I will treasure forever.
YOUR WEDDING BANDS COMPLETELY SUIT YOUR WEDDING AESTHETIC, TELL US MORE?
My Engagement ring is a round brilliant diamond with a halo set in platinum and I was lucky enough to get two wedding bands which have 7 x round diamonds in each. Our rings were made by Mark Custom Designs.
AN UNPLANNED MOMENT?
Brent and I did almost 6 hours of photos all over New York City, to get the shot of us crossing the road we had to cross the same street about 20 times ha-ha. By the time we finished the photos we were so hungry because we hadn’t eaten all day so we decided to pop in to Shake shack I was in my wedding dress and we sat by a window to eat our meals and everyone that walked past stopped and took photos ha-ha it was so funny.
YOUR DAY IN JUST 1 SENTENCE?
An incredibly magical day full of love and celebration.
ONE MOMENT TO RE LIVE?
It would be so hard to choose just one moment… if I could do the whole day again I would. The day was just perfect….so relaxed, I didn’t feel any type of nerves or stress and we just had so much fun.
BRIDAL HINDSIGHT, WOULD YOU HAVE DONE ANYTHING DIFFERENTLY IF YOU COULD RELIVE THE DAY?
Seeing as we had organized the whole wedding from Australia so mostly by emails and Skype, I really wasn’t expecting everything to run so smoothly, but it did. Every element of the day exceeded my expectations….there really isn’t anything I would have changed about our day.It was perfect.
"Jammie is beautiful, caring and honest. The whole day was amazing we couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect day. The location for the ceremony was incredible it was a roof top garden right in the heart of New York City which over looked the St. Patrick’s Cathedral and it was even better than I expected it to be. How did I feel when I first saw Jaimme as a bride? I thought I was the luckiest guy on the planet – just look at her ;)!"
